Takemichi, having miraculously escaped Kisaki's trap thanks in part to Chifuyu's sacrifice, decides, in agreement with Kazutora, to travel back in time to confront the Black Dragon and prevent the Toman's violent decline. In the past, he encounters Hakkai Shiba, a member of the original Black Dragon group, and his brother Taiju Shiba, the gang's boss at the time.
